In today’s modern world, it can be hard to imagine what life was like back in the days before cell phones, computers, and TV. At the Tenement Museum, you can experience it firsthand.
The 5 story tenement apartment building housed nearly 7000 working class immigrants from 1863 to 1935. The landlord evicted the residents in 1935- and the building remained untouched, until 1988 when it was turned into a museum.
