In this video, I talk about the sabbatical I took from medical school, why I took it and what that looked like. I also talk about some of the lessons I learnt from that period and how useful it was for me. Some of the lessons include;
1. Do not force your way through medical school.
2. Take the space and the time to rethink why you do what you do. And also having the space to reflect on whom you are becoming.
3. No one has stuff figured out, it is all a constant process of learning and adapting. We are all doing that. Your opinion counts.
4. The here and now is the most important part of your process. Try to make the most of it and do not get caught up in what you are still to become.
I also talk about the masters of medicine which I am going to be starting soon. I am psyched about that and I look forward to sharing that journey with you all. Please feel free to contact me if you want to continue the discussion.
