I'm designing and building a powder blender based on Inversion Kinematics discovered by Paul Schatz.
This model uses a 5 gallon plastic bucket as the mixing / blending vessel, but with some kind of insert will hold smaller containers.
I have not figured out the drive system yet, but will likely have to fabricate my own elliptical pulleys as the shaft speed is not constant.
All work done in Autodesk Inventor.
