In this video, I will explain the quantity of seed required to grow one acre of wheat crop.
Wheat Seedrate needs to be changed in different circumstances. For example, in salts affected soils, 70 to 80 kg seed per acre is sown whereas in normal soils, 50 kg seed is enough. If drill sowing is being practiced then 40 to 45 kg wheat seed is sufficient. Some wheat varieties are high yielding with high tillering capacity such as Dilkash-21, Arooj-22, Fakher-e-Bhakker, Subhani and Akbar-19. All these varieties seeds are sufficient in 40 kg weight.
