They're both very good, but gates is far superior in my opinion.

Here's some more in depth info: Gates gives you increased health, defense, speed, attack power and also lasts 30 seconds.

KLM gives you health regen, speed and reduced cooldown for jutsu (for both you and your allies.)
Has no defense or attack buffs whatsoever.
Lasts 25 seconds.
