Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!
Lots to see today around the site! Here is a summary of what you'll see both in the images and the video!

In the video introduction, I provide an update of the Tesla Lithium Plant in Corpus Christi, with new information from Tesla that the first Spodumene Concentrate (raw material) has been used in the rotating Kiln, part of the Pyrometallurgical processing portion of the processes they will use to turn the Spodumene into Lithium Hydroxide, which will then be an input to the battery cathode plant here at Giga Texas.
I also provide an update on the Cybercab testing that is underway around Giga Texas, including a link to a dedicated video I made showing the testing and locations along with several stills to give additional detail.
From the flight today, we see the canopies being installed over the supercharging stations just south of the west End-of-Line (EOL) facility and near the outbound lot. We also see work on the new roadway leading from the south of the Boring Company Cybertunnel along the westside of the Warehouse on Wheels (WOW) Yard and to a new intersection with River Road.
Near this new roadway, we see the new material staging yard now has two large cranes being assembles along with other materials and office trailers. As I was leaving the site today, I noticed large sections of what will be a circular form (of forms) were delivered here, suggesting we might see another large concrete tank construction somewhere in this area. I’m unsure what that will be or for what purpose, so it'll be worth monitoring over time.
The Boring Company crews were also working to complete the electrical equipment structure next to the west Boring Tunnel exit, while other crew were working on the Cybertruck-inspired covering structure. I know they drove one Cybertruck through part of the tunnel today for testing, so it is getting close to becoming operational, however, I am not sure if they will have it completely done by the end of this week, which was their goal.
On the east side of the south extension to the main factory, we see the NawKaw stain crews busy adding white stain to the exterior concrete wall panels to match the rest of the main factory. In addition, the W & W Glass company crews were setting up the counterbalanced lifting jig (with suction cups) to begin installing the last of the large glass panes on the east side of the building. Once this work is completed, the majority of the south end will finally be fully enclosed.
At the electrical switchyard, we see crews busy assembling another A-Fram structure to match the one installed last week, and this will finish off the tall superstructure items at the switchyard. Interestingly, the two new A-Frames use the larger diameter steel tubes instead of the thinner diameter steel we see in the adjacent A-Frames.
Crews were also busy adding more parts to the third large transformer, assembling additional steel items and preparing the graded area just to the south for the new Megapack installation. Finally, preparations seem underway to add the third large control room over the underground vault.
