World Bank Global Show Case - Bulgarian Folk dance 'Horo' choreograhed by Desi Jordanoff. One of the most attractive and fiery expressions of Bulgarian folklore is the dance. The "horo" is the most common folkloric dance. It is performed by a group of men and women, typically holding hands and dancing in a circle. The "horo" style varies by region.
The first dance is a simple square dance, "Pravo Trakiisko Horo", from the South of Bulgaria, Thracian region.
The second dance is a "Daichovo Horo", with a characteristic uneven rhythm 9/16. It is a dynamic dance that is common in the Northern part of the country.
