I know a lot of people have trouble assembling IKEA furniture. That’s why I made this video. It shows, in detail, the steps I used to put together the Trofast base cabinet. I start by showing how I open an Ikea box, how I sort the different pieces (and makes sure everything is there), what tools are supplied, and needed, and then how to put the whole thing together step by step.

Is your Lego collection getting out of control? Ours was, and we needed a simple solution That’s why we decided to get the White IKEA Trofast for our son who has a growing Lego collection, and to use it for brick storage. Currently all his bricks are in one giant plastic container that has a crack on the bottom (so the Legos leak out whenever we move it).
We decided to get 3 smaller Trofast storage bins, and 3 larger ones, although we could easily get 9 smaller bins if we wanted to. Perhaps if we get another and stack them on top of each other we will do that. It’s also pretty neat that the bins can slide all the way out and be removed.
We also like that he can build and display his Lego sets on top of the Trofast. Hopefully it won’t get too cluttered :)
White storage bins were not included with the purchase of the Trofast cabinet.
