Bob Brodsky shows importance of a tight wind to avoid center or core drop out. In this case, he shows spliced 16mm full coat magnetic tape. This roll contains splices and is typical of rolls of magnetic tape found in the out-takes of film projects. The audio (with a sync pulse) originated on 1/4 audio tape. It was transferred to 16mm full coat tape and manually synchronized to picture. In order to sync up each take, sections of sound and picture were removed. In this demonstration, the large section of white leader in the sound roll, probably indicates a section of corresponding picture that was "MOS" or without sound.
