Torrey Peters’ Detransition, Baby has taken the world by storm. It was the first novel by a trans author to be published by a big five publishing house and went on to be longlisted for The Women’s Prize and honored as a New York Times Editors Choice. Torrey will be in conversation with UK’s leading commentators onctrans politics, Shon Faye.

This whipsmart debut is about three women - transgender and cisgender - whose lives collide after an unexpected preganancy, forcing them to confront their deepest desires around gender, motherhood, and sex.

Torrey Peters lives in Brooklyn and holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and a Masters in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth. She is the author of two novellas, Infect Your Friends and Loved Ones and The Masker. @torreypeters

Shon Faye was an editor-at-large at Dazed, and her writing has been published by the Guardian, the Independent and Vice, among others. Faye recently launched an acclaimed podcast series, Call Me Mother, interviewing trailblazing LGBTQ elders.
