The World Press Photo Festival, held in Amsterdam on 13-14 April 2018, hosted many great photographer presentations and discussions.
Alessio Mamo (World Press Photo Contest 2018, People singles, 2nd prize) presented his award-winning photography, 'Manal, War Portraits', along with other work on this theme.
In 2008, Alessio began his career in photojournalism focusing on contemporary social, political and economic issues. He extensively covers issues related to refugee displacement and migration starting in Sicily, and extending most recently to the Middle East.
