Decorah has had a new eagle couple interested in the real-estate at N1. This morning it looks like they were perching in a tree on the bluffs before coming to perch on the Y-Branch. They give some warning vocals. Thanks for watching!
GOOSE NEWS:
On March 24, 2022 Ms. Loosey Goosey laid her first egg on Decorah nest 2B which has been abandoned by Mom and DM2 since they built a new nest last year located about a mile away. This goose and her mate have been checking out this nest for several weeks. After she laid the egg, she covered it up with sticks to protect it from predators and then left. Approximately 32 hours later she returned to the nest and laid her second egg. Today, Sunday March 27, 2022 Ms. Goosey laid a 3rd egg at approximately 8:17 AM. Mom Decorah just happened to be in the area. She perched in M2 and then flew to the retention pond and ate a fish there while Ms. Goose laid her egg. On Monday, March 28, 2022 Mother Goose returned and laid a 4th egg at approximately 6:10 pm cst. On March 30, 2022 egg #5 arrived. We now have a 6th egg! The live link is below. Thanks for watching!
