This is the Vertical Version of this tutorial. The Horizontal Version is posted as well depending on user preference!
Tools Required: 10mm socket, 14mm socket, 4mm Allen hex socket, 5mm Allen hex socket, 6mm Allen hex socket and a torque wrench - “OP” means On Point Performance
00:12 use 4mm and 5mm Allen hex to remove the lower fairings
00:22 use 4mm Allen hex to remove the middle fairings
00:28 use 14mm socket to remove the motor mount bolts
Tip: Use ScotchBlue tape on the middle fairings so it doesn’t rub again the cage when installing.
00:38 use 14mm socket for the new OP bolts and split washer to install the cage and insert the rear threaded rod to help align and support the cage
- LEFT side add “L” spacer with the OP bolt and split washer
(DON’T tighten the bolts all the way and leave it fairly loose so you can add the cross bars later 01:29)
00:57 use 10mm socket to remove the lower radiator bolt
01:10 use 10mm socket for the new OP bolt, washer and spacer to push the radiator forward to make space for the cross bars
01:18 use 6mm Allen hex socket to remove the sliders
01:27 remove the rubber shock absorbers
01:29 insert the upper and lower cross bars
01:33 use 6mm Allen hex socket for the new OP bolts and washer to tighten the upper and lower cross bars
01:47 use 14mm socket for the new OP bolts and split washer to tighten motor mounts
01:53 use 6mm Allen hex socket and 25 ft/lbs torque wrench to tighten the upper and lower cross bars
02:08 use 6mm Allen hex socket to insert and tighten the rubber shock absorbers and sliders
- use 14mm socket and 10 ft/lbs torque wrench to tighten the rear threaded rod
