This video is Part 2 of heavy duty machining a new large hydraulic cylinder rod for a Hitachi EX1200 mining excavator bucket cylinder. This part shows all the heavy duty machining to turn a large 200mm (7.8 inch) steel plate into the new cylinder rod eye and welding of the eye onto the rod that we machined in Part 1. We are using our TM-26120G centre lathe for machining and the BM-63VE milling machine to countersink a grease port. There was some serious lathe interrupted cut action needed for this!
