The Three Kings' Cavalcade will now be held on Sunday at the earlier time of two o'clock.
The change comes after the Cavalcade Committee took the difficult decision, following early weather forecasts predicting heavy rain for the eve of the Epiphany.
Sweets will be distributed from a quarter past one along Main Street, ahead of the traditional parade.
Additionally, access to Casemates Square will be restricted to participants in the event this year.
