I tried to remove the oil drain plug on a 2014 Cruze but the 10mm socket stripped the head of the bolt. I tried to beat a 9mm socket on but that didn't work. Vise Grips didn't work, just made it worse. I cut a groove at the edge of the bolt with a grinder and tried to beat the screw off with my linesman and screw driver, that didnt work. I also tried an extractor........ you guessed right, didn't work. I was ready to give up until the lip of the screw gave me an idea. So I grabbed my Channel Locks and grabbed the outside of the screw with the jaws and viola, the screw loosened.
