Roofers are people and they can be forgetful at times, it happens to ALL OF US! However when having your roof replaced it's VITAL to check that all penetrations have been opened back up and all vents properly reconnected! In this case, the dryer would've been hampered (no pun intended) severely. It would've very quickly become apparent that the dryer vent was completely plugged! Make sure to get an inspection after a roof replacement and when purchasing a new home!
