You are receiving this email because you previously contacted one of the law firms involved in the Hyundai and Kia Oil Consumption class action lawsuit. Unfortunately, the court agreed with Hyundai and Kia’s legal positions and dismissed the case at the motion to dismiss stage. You are welcome to read the court’s opinion here. After evaluating our options and the likelihood of future success of the case based on the court’s opinion, our firms have decided not to pursue the litigation further. While we believe that oil consumption is occurring in these vehicles, we believe there are many legal hurdles presented by the court that will prevent the case from becoming a successful class action. To be clear, we are not refiling the case, nor are we taking individual cases. As such, we will not be taking any action to preserve any applicable statute of limitations which may apply to your claim. This does not mean your claim does not have merit, and if you wish to pursue the matter further, you should contact another attorney if you would like to pursue your own lawsuit against Hyundai and/or Kia related to the oil consumption issue in your vehicle.


However, it is our understanding that both Hyundai and Kia have made modifications to their responses regarding oil consumption issues raised by Hyundai and Kia owners and lessees. As a result, we believe there are more approvals of oil consumption related repairs and replacements than in the past.
