This is a video review of the Bachmann EMD (Electro Motive Division) GP40-2 Diesel Locomotive in the Blue and Yellow Santa Fe livery. I paid £7.77 for this one from eBay which was about £12 with postage and it works okay but the only defect on the model is that it only has one buckeye coupler as the one at the rear is missing. It looks similar to my SD40. But the GP40 (GP actually means "General Purpose" locomotive) is much shorter in length and only has one roof fan in the center above the pod as where the SD40 has two fans in the center on the roof and a larger cooling pod. The model works okay but the handling is jerky and a bit rough to be honest. Its a nice entry level model, but some professional railroad modellers may find this model a bit toy-like. Model is HO scale.
