The Biomedical Imaging Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai is an interdisciplinary research program that brings together scientists and physicians who share a common interest in developing and applying state-of-the-art imaging technologies to address basic and clinical research questions and provides focused education and training opportunities for students, postdoctoral research and clinical fellows.
The BIRI’s mission is to improve the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of disease by developing novel medical imaging technology that translate to clinical significance, provide high quality biomedical imaging services for the Cedars-Sinai and greater research community through the Research Imaging Core. A major focus of our program is in cardiovascular disease, where scientists and clinicians collaborate to develop novel imaging biomarkers and techniques that we believe will improve disease outcomes and change the future of medicine.
