Displaced children in Gaza smile and laugh despite experiencing harsh weather conditions. One child appears to be barefoot while other children huddle around a makeshift fire to keep warm.
This comes after a weekend of heavy rain that flooded tents across Gaza, intensifying the humanitarian crisis for hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians.
The United Nations estimates that around half a million people in Gaza are in flood-prone sites. Harsh winter weather is compounded by heavy rain and rising sea levels, which cause sewage pile-ups and disease," Unrwa said on Monday.
Unrwa has warned that the onset of winter risks compounding the devastating humanitarian situation in Gaza.
