Found some beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean in Rancho Palos Verdes, California at the Vicente Bluffs Reserve conservation area. There are concrete walking trails that wind along the bluffs and plenty of parking near the lighthouse. (Which is closed to the public except for one weekend a month.)

You can head down a VERY steep pathway to the beach but note that it's completely covered in large rocks. So, unless you have good hiking shoes (and strong ankles!) you might just want to view from above.

It was really peaceful and just what I needed for a little break from the real world for a couple of hours!
