Tens of passengers were arrested, along the busy mombasa-malindi highway, for flouting various road rules. The NTSA had mounted roadblocks and carried out random safety checks along that stretch, in the wake of accidents, that have claimed more than 200 lives this month alone. Meanwhile in Meru, motorists have also been warned against flouting traffic regulations this festive season.
