PROJECT STEPS
1. As an associate consultant for Flare Information Technology, you are creating a client case study to summarize a successful project for Castello Hotels & Lodging. Start by compressing the hotel lobby picture on page 1 to the E-mail (96 ppi) resolution to reduce the file size of the document.
2. On page 2, position the Flare logo using the Top Left with Square Text Wrapping option to improve the page design.
3. Use WordArt to format a heading as follows to draw attention to it:
a. Apply the Fill: Aqua, Accent color 1; Shadow WordArt style to the entire paragraph "Castello Online Transformation" including the paragraph mark.
b. Change the text wrapping to Top and Bottom.
c. Change the height of the WordArt text box to 0.7" and the width to 6.5".
d. Apply the Square text effect from the Warp section of the Transform gallery.
4. Insert a Continuous section break in each of the following locations in the document to prepare for inserting columns and balancing them:
a. On page 2, at the beginning of the paragraph "Castello Hotels & Resorts is a premier brand…".
b. On page 3, at the beginning of the heading paragraph "Upgrade Results".
c. On page 6, at the beginning of the paragraph "ALMEC Group".
d. On page 6, in the blank paragraph before the "Copyright 2021. All rights reserved." paragraph.
5. Format the sections you created as follows:
a. On page 2, format the section you created beginning "Castello Hotels & Resorts is a premier brand…" and ending "with a single user experience." into two columns.
b. On page 6, format the section you created beginning with the "ALMEC Group" paragraph and ending with the "Upland Trust Company" paragraph into two columns.
6. On page 2, insert a Dropped Drop Cap at the beginning of the first body paragraph ("Castello Hotels & Resorts is a premier...").
7. Insert a shape as follows:
a. On page 3, below the heading "Upgrade Results", insert a Star: 5 Points shape from the Stars and Banners section of the Shapes gallery. [Mac Hint: 5-Point Star]
b. Resize the shape to a height of 1.5" and a width of 1.9".
c. Type Sales up 35% in the shape.
d. Apply Tight text wrapping.
e. Apply the Subtle Effect—Aqua, Accent 1 shape style.
f. Move the anchor point of the shape to the heading "Upgrade Results" and position the shape as shown in Figure 1 so that it appears below the "Upgrade Results" heading and to the left of the paragraphs beginning "Overall, by partnering…" and ending "…increased by 21 percent."

8. On page 4, flip the picture of the hotel room vertically to correct its placement.
9. Draw and format a text box as follows:
a. Draw a text box near the heading "Personalized Experiences".
b. Position the text box using the Bottom Right with Square Text Wrapping option.
c. Resize the text box to a height of 2.5" and a width of 2".
d. Insert text as an object from the file Support_WD19_4b_Castello.docx into the text box. (Hint: Do not copy and paste the text.)
e. Apply the Subtle Effect - Green, Accent 6 shape style to the text box.
10. Format the picture on page 5 to match the picture on page 4 as follows:
a. Crop the picture to the Rectangle: Rounded Corners shape from the Rectangles section of the Crop to Shape gallery. [Mac Hint: Rounded Rectangle]
b. Apply the Brown, Accent 3 (7th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors palette) picture border color.
11. On page 6, add a 0.2" Hanging indent to the list of Flare clients beginning "ALMEC Group" and ending "Upland Trust Company".
12. Insert a copyright sign symbol and a space before the text "Copyright 2021."
Your document should look like the Final Figure on the following pages. Save your changes, close the document, and then exit Word. Follow the directions on the SAM website to submit your completed project.
