A landscape of Flamborough Head with a magnificent Danes Dyke that is basically cutting the whole promontory off the mainland.
Danes Dyke was excavated in 1879 by Pitt-Rivers and it was established that Dyke has prehistoric origins. In a landscape, we can also find Anglo-Saxon cemetery, round prehistoric mound, prehistoric small promontory hillfort and remains of a manor house.
