Padmini Kolhapure made her debut as the lead heroine in the 1981 film Ahista Ahista after appearing in several movies as a child artist. Although her on-screen character, ‘Chandra’, helped her win the Filmfare Special Performance Award, her performance in Raj Kapoor’s cult classic Prem Rog, released the following year, gave her immense stardom. In an interview, the veteran star opened up about her fond memories of the director on his birth anniversary.
