In the city of Rio De Janeiro, around 23-24% of the population live in the Favelas and within these makeshift neighbourhoods, is where the origins of Samba lies. Despite the dangerous environment it somehow gave the country of Brazil it’s most recognisable sound and shaped the biggest carnival in the world.
