The historic center of Monopoli is one of the most beautiful in all of Puglia. Almost every corner here is incredibly scenic, so be sure to bring your camera with you when you visit. You can't take a bad picture here!
And compared to other towns in Puglia, the fishing town of Monopoli is also refreshingly less touristy. It has been inhabited since 500 BC. and takes its name from the early Greek city that was founded here.
