The country's financial hub has been battling a wave of infections for nearly a month now.
The lockdown will see Shanghai's eastern section under restrictions from Monday until April 1st.
The western part of the city from April 1st to the 5th.
Public transportation is suspended,... while firms must halt operations or have their employees work remotely.
