Step inside the Church of Santa Maria Of The Mosteiro Dos Jerónimo Belém and your jaw will instantly drop. To visit the church you don't have to pay any fees (you do though for the Monastery).

There we saw the tomb of Vasco da Gama, the explorer who first rounded the tip of Africa. He spent the night here, in the monastery, before that legendary voyage.
