Off to an early start from our campsite at mile 70 in a drizzly rain. It had rained all night and was a pretty wet day. We found ourselves walking in a cloud after stopping for breakfast, then crossed our first state line into NC and hiked up a huge hill. Welcome to NC! We ended the day at Muskrat Creek Shelter with a nice fire and a beautiful sunset. Another great day on the trail.
