(3 Oct 1994) The cosmonauts of the Euromir 94 space mission were on Monday
(3/10) making final preparations before their launch from the
Baikonur space centre in Kazakhstan. Russians Alexander Viktorenko
and Elena Kondakova are being joined by a German, Ulf Merbold,
the first European Space Agency astronaut to join a Russian Mir
mission.
