Augustine’s doctrine of original sin, presented 360 years after the resurrection of Christ, claims that all human beings have inherited the sin and guilt of Adam’s sin in Eden as if we committed his sin ourselves.
Calvin, Augustine’s greatest fan, claimed that from conception, children are a 'seed-bed of sin, repulsive and an abomination to God'.
No early church theologian taught this idea of original sin, and for one specific reason, namely, because they believed the many verses that state that Jesus was born with the exact same human nature to our own or He could not be our substitute for sin.
