By the time television became a household appliance, the name of its inventor was sufficiently lost to the public that he could appear on a TV game show in 1957 and not a soul would recognize him. The game show was called "I've Got A Secret". This was Dr. Farnsworth's first and only TV appearance on record there my have been one with a small TV station in SE Idaho KID-TV in 1953 but this has not been verified. The electronic television which we use today had it's origins on a farm and was invented by Philo T. Farnsworth, a young Mormon (Restoration Christian or member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) boy genius in 1922 at just fourteen years of age.
