Proteins are molecules that consist of one or more chains of amino acids. They are a structural component of muscle and other tissues in the body.
How much protein should I intake?
According to Examine.com, an independent encyclopaedia on supplementation and nutrition, if you are an athlete or highly active person, or you are attempting to lose body fat while preserving lean mass, then a daily intake of 1.0-1.5g per kg body weight (0.45-0.68g per lb body weight) is a good goal.
