Today's gospel (Mark 10:17-30) challenges us to ponder about the kingdom of God.
Do we live our lives aiming for the kingdom of God as our final destination? Or do we place the pursuit of material wealth and self enjoyment above our Christian faith and practices? Let us pray for the wisdom to see that God made us for eternal life in His kingdom and not for temporary pleasures here on this earth. Only with this wisdom will we experience serenity and freedom from the enslavements of the material world.
