FAUCI: VACCINE IS NOT A ‘SUBSTITUTE’ FOR CAREFUL BEHAVIOR: Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases speaks in virtual discussion hosted by Center for Strategic and International Studies. With the vaccine getting distributed across the country and already being administered to some health care workers, Dr. Fauci is expected to discuss the next steps in combating the virus within the United States. On MSNBC earlier this morning, he reminded Americans that the vaccine does not mean other protective measures should not be taken. ‘A vaccine right now is not a substitute for the normal standard public health measures of wearing a mask, keeping your distance, avoiding congregate crowded sections, and particularly indoors,’ he explained, adding that the vaccine compliments all other preventative behavior.
