Roughly 75 percent of people who enter Crossroads Treatments Centers every year stay on some dose of methadone; some of them for life, according to Crossroads co-founder Steve Kester.
According to the company, which wants to build a methadone clinic in Johnson City, 938 patients were weaned off of medication after successful completion of treatment in 2015; the equivalent of just 26 percent of its 3,596 patients who went through intake.
