Tunnelling on Sydney Metro Northwest (formerly the North West Rail Link) passed the one-third mark on 26 May 2015 with more than 12km of Australia’s longest railway tunnels completed by four Tunnel Boring Machines.
Elizabeth - the first of our four tunnel boring machines – celebrated passing the halfway point of her journey between Bella Vista and Cherrybrook by breaking through into the Showground station construction site.
