These committed youngsters tirelessly supported the entire event from the backdrop, becoming the pillars that held "Our Teviot" high. They were present at every segment, from hosting our video to interviewing attendees, infusing the day with their unique spark and youthful zest.
The collaboration between Leaders in Community, Poplar HARCA, and Hill Group shaped "Our Teviot" into a spectacular community gathering. Teviot Estate residents convened at the Teviot Centre, a vibrant hub managed by Leaders in Community, and were treated to a galaxy of family-friendly activities and performances.
With the bounce of the castle, the creativity of screen printing with Ellen Rock, the thrill of Spotlight Skates, and the laughter from bike rides with BikeWorks, every moment was coloured with joy. The stage resonated with the spellbinding performances by Spotlight young performers, the excitement of Music Bingo, and the energetic display of Karate.
In the midst of the jubilation, attendees were welcomed to the enticing food and drink stalls. A chance to mingle with stallholders from the Boxing Club, Carbon Champions, R Urban, MAD Leap and more added a layer of connection and community. The friendly chats with groups like Aberfeldy Knit & Knatter, Community Boat Club, More Life Home, and Bangladeshi Women's Group underscored the spirit of unity that pervaded the day.

Leaders in Community aim to inspire and empower local young people to be active and vocal contributors to the social, economic and cultural well-being of their community.
Through our Youth Leadership and Youth Social Action initiatives, we provide local young people with training to develop their personal resilience and overcome barriers to progression and equip local young people with the skills and opportunities to speak out about community issues, and challenge inequalities.
