Armin van Buuren just released his newest single, “Racing Spirit”.
The track, developed in collaboration with Ahmed Helmy, is the first release from the Senna Driven project, a collaborative electronic music album inspired by the values of persistence, overcoming and commitment of the legendary F1 driver Ayrton Senna.
The idea behind “Racing Spirit” is to translate Senna’s racing spirit, symbolizing perseverance and determination to go all the way and overcome obstacles, both in racing and in life.
Commenting on the track, Armin Van Buuren said: “I’ve always been a huge Formula 1 fan and I’m really excited to pay tribute to one of its greatest legends. I wanted to create a track that paid homage to Senna and would work really well on the dancefloor at the same time. So I teamed up with my friend Ahmed Helmy after our collaboration on ‘Rhythm Inside’. The track has a clear moment of interaction with the audience, referencing the head movement of people from side to side as the cars speed past. And I couldn’t be happier with the result.”
