Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, both Mumbai Csmt Chennai Superfast Express and Weekly Ltt Chennai Superfast Express were cancelled. Effective 01/11/2021, after 19months they have once again restarted. The description can be read as follows;
1) 30Mins Late Running, 01459 Mumbai Csmt Chennai Superfast Covid-19 Special with Itarsi WAP-4# 22875 speeds past Manjari Budruk with terrific aggression and speed of above 100kph. On 01NOV, it had electric locomotive and from 02NOV it got diesel locomotive. Have a look at video of same train with KJM WDP4D taken 2 days later at Hadapsar. It was restarted after 19months.
2) 1Hr late running, 01479 Ltt Chennai Superfast Weekly Covid-19 Special with Mega Offlink Patratu WAG-9# 32456 showcases its appearance at Manjari Budruk. This was simply unbelievable. I was expecting a Diesel Locomotive beyond Pune Jn as it has a non stop run from Pune to Solapur. Electric Locomotives are in action only till Kurduvadi. Beyond Kurduvadi, electric loco becomes dead and they attach Diesel from front. That day, this special train had to take an unscheduled halt at Kurduvadi.
3) 2 Days later, 01459 Mumbai Csmt Chennai SF Covid-19 special with KJM WDP-4D# 40357 beautifully curves and accelerates to a good speed at Hadapsar.
