A front that has stalled out across the area will be responsible for light rain today. Those of us along and south of I-80 may not see the light rain or sprinkles until later in the afternoon. Temperatures will still manage to reach normal levels in the mid and upper 40s.
As colder air rushes in late tonight, snow will develop. These snow showers will continue through very early Wednesday morning. 1 to 4 inches of accumulation looks possible along and south of I-80 with those located along or south of highway 34 seeing the higher of those totals. A few 5 inch totals cannot be ruled out in our southern counties. Temperatures on Wednesday will only reach into the upper 20s.
