Each spring, a squadron of American White Pelicans descend on the Saskatoon Weir after a 3200km journey from the Gulf of Mexico. Once threatened, the pelicans are an environmental success story and a popular tradition for residents and visitors to guess when they’ll return each year to the beautiful South Saskatchewan River valley.
