Before play concluded, Wenzelburger added more chips by eliminating Danilo Velasevic in 20th place. He eventually finished with 6,545,000, a chip-leading stack on the last two tables. The margin between Wenzelburger and his nearest challengers is substantial. Jonathan Guedes (3,570,000), who is second in chips, trails Wenzelburger by more than 70 big blinds.

Day 5 starts with 47 minutes left to play at 20,000/40,000 blinds, with the tournament average at 57 big blinds.

The European Poker Tour (EPT) is a series of poker tournaments and was founded in 2004 by John Duthie, winner of the inaugural Poker Million tournament.
