U.S. and Romanian forces conducted joint military drills in Smardan, Romania, on Thursday (March 10).

Dubbed ‘Justice Eagle’, the live-fire exercise saw tanks and infantry from both countries test their capabilities.

Organisers say the biannual exercise is not related to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine - Romania’s eastern neighbour. The U.S. and Romania are both members of the NATO alliance.
