Punta Negra and Punta Colorada, are amazing beach destinations on the Rio de la Plata, very close to Piriápolis.

The name Punta Colorada comes from the color of the rocks in there. Punta Negra is a small Peninsula called Punta Negra de Portezuelo, where darker rocks are present. The landscape there is only green, blue and white together with the darks rocks.
