DISCLAIMER: The high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz AG is Mercedes-AMG GmbH, more often shortened to AMG. When it comes to personalizing Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles, AMG works independently to hire experts and negotiates with manufacturers. In Affalterbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, you'll find the main office of the corporation.
At its inception, AMG was a separate engineering company whose primary goal was to enhance the performance of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. After formally acquiring the majority of AMG shares in 1999, DaimlerChrysler AG went on to purchase all remaining shares in 2005. Now that Daimler AG owns Mercedes-Benz AG, Mercedes-AMG GmbH is a subsidiary of that parent company.
Comparatively speaking, AMG vehicles tend to be more aggressive in look, more powerful, more stable, and employ more carbon fiber than their Mercedes-Benz counterparts. Typically, the most costly and performance-oriented versions of each Mercedes-Benz class are produced by AMG.
The names of AMG variants typically consist of two numerals rather than three, as seen with Mercedes-Benz variants (e.g., "C 63" instead of "C 320"). The number is more of a nod to previous models, like the 6.3-liter 300 SEL, than an indication of engine size. As an example, the C 63 and other new V8 AMG vehicles come with a 4.0L V8 engine.
Driving a previous AMG model was not exactly a popular pastime. For that reason, there is an exception: the 2018 E63 model, which replaces the old 6.3L engine variant. After a string of manual variants with rear-wheel drive, this one is supposed to be the most user-friendly of the bunch thanks to its automatic four-wheel drive. While it may not have the greatest horsepower among its competitors, it excels thanks to its clever use of that power.
A high-performance variant of the W213-coded fifth-generation E-Class is the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S. After a redesign in 2020, production began in 2017 to replace the 2013 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG.
The E 63 S is the second most powerful super sedan in Forza, behind the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, which has 630 hp (470 kW) and slightly higher torque stats. It is powered by a 4.0L M177 engine that produces 603 hp (450 kW) between 5,750 and 6,500 rpm and 626 ft·lb (849 N·m) of torque between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm.
Brabus, the biggest independent Mercedes-Benz tuner in the world, builds their 800 model year customized Mercedes-AMG E63s. This car's front and back bumpers, spoilers, and wheels are all modifiable on Brabus vehicles in the game.
