We will talk about problems such as high blood pressure, high cholestrol, high thyroid, high blood sugar, and improving them by choosing the right flour to consume.
1)High Blood Pressure
-Consume barley. Being naturally high in magnesium and potassium, it balances sodium levels in the body and relaxes blood vessels. It also reduces LDL which is the bad cholestrol, which further helps regulate blood pressure.
2)High Cholestrol
-Consume oat flour. Rich in beta-glucan, it binds to cholestrol in the digestive tract and reduces its absorption. It is naturally low in saturated fat being ideal for a cholestrol-lowering diet.
3)High Thyroid
-Consume amaranth. It provides essential amino acids, including lysine which helps support thyroid function. Being rich in magnesium and iron, it helps regulate thyroid hormones and supports red blood cell production.
4)High Blood Sugar
-Consume black chickpea flour. They have a low glycemic index which prevents blood sugar spikes. It is rich in soluble and insoluble fibre which slows down carbohydrate absorption and stabilises blood sugar levels. Moreover, they are a good source of complex carbohydrates, iron, and magnesium.
5)General Health
-Consume emmer wheat flour. It contains high levels of protein, fibre, zinc, magnesium, and iron compared to regular wheat. It keeps you full for longer which aids in weight loss, helps reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. Moreover, the fibre and essential fatty acids contribute to cardiovascular health.
