In this asmr plumbing video I’m replacing a leaking isolation valve on a cold tank feed pipe to toilet!

Normally you can isolate the water feeding toilets but this feed was fed via a cold water storage tank which has really bad access.

There are two methods to get over turning off the supply, you either do it live and risk damaging the property or you can freeze it so that’s the options took.

The freeze kit I’m using is from arctic hayes, it’s super simple and works great when doing to the manufacturers instructions. Simply put the sleeve over pipe and tighten down either side. Connect the hose to the canister and open it enough to just have the vapour causing the freeze.

Once you hear the crack or in this instance open the valve and have no water come out your ready to work. I keep the bottle ticking over while working just in case!
